Heat Pump Water Heater Installation

Basic steps of heat pump water heater installation :

1. Positioning of the heat pump unit and determining the placement position of the unit, mainly considering the bearing of the floor and the influence of the inlet and outlet air of the unit.

2. The foundation can be made of cement or channel steel, should be on the bearing beam of the floor.

3. The placement adjustment shall ensure that the unit is placed stably, and the damping rubber pad shall be used between the unit and the foundation.

4. The connection of waterway system mainly refers to the connection of water pumps, valves, filters, etc. between the main engine and the water tank.

5. Electrical connection: the heat pump power line, water pump, solenoid valve, water temperature sensor, pressure switch, target flow switch, etc. shall be electrically connected according to the requirements of the wiring diagram.

6. Water pressure test to detect whether there is water leakage in the pipeline connection.

7. Before the commissioning of the machine, the unit must be grounded and the insulation performance of the machine model shall be checked with a megger. Check that there is no problem, start up and run. Check the operating current, voltage and other parameters of the machine with a multimeter and a clamp current meter.

8. For pipe insulation, rubber and plastic insulation materials are used for insulation, and the outer surface is fixed with aluminum sheet or thin galvanized steel plate.

Heat pump unit installation

1. The installation requirements of heat pump unit are the same as those of outdoor unit of air conditioner. It can be installed on the outer wall, roof, balcony and ground. The air outlet shall avoid the windward direction.

2. The distance between the heat pump unit and the water storage tank shall not be greater than 5m, and the standard configuration is 3m.

3. The distance between the unit and the surrounding walls or other obstructions shall not be too small.

4. If an anti rain shed is installed to protect the unit from wind and sun, attention shall be paid to ensure that the heat absorption and heat dissipation of the unit  heat exchanger are not hindered.

5. The heat pump unit shall be installed at a place with solid foundation, and shall be installed vertically and fixed with anchor bolts.

6. The display panel shall not be installed in the bathroom, so as not to affect the normal work due to humidity.

Installation of water storage tank

1. The water storage tank can be installed outdoors with the outdoor unit of the heat pump, such as balcony, roof, ground, or indoors. The water storage tank must be installed on the ground. The foundation of the installation site is solid. It must bear the weight of 500kg and cannot be hung on the wall.

2. A valve is installed near the water storage tank and the interface between the tap water pipe and the hot water pipe.

3. Dripping water at the relief port of the safety valve at the hot water outlet of the water tank is a pressure relief phenomenon, which plays a protective role. Just connect a drainage hose.
